Nicki minaj attend royal wedding

Nicki minaj attend royal wedding

Nicki Minaj is reportedly flying into the UK especially for the Royal Wedding.

The US rapper is currently on tour across America and Canada but is said to have hired a private jet to fly her in and out of the country for the special occasion, as she wants to witness the ceremony firsthand.

Minaj does not have an invite to the wedding, but has apparently booked an apartment near to Westminster Abbey, where the nuptials will take place, and from where she can watch the day's events unfold.

It is rumoured she has even selected a regal outfit to wear for her visit.

Prince William and Kate Middleton will tie the knot on Friday, April 29.

Paris Hilton style gets upstaged

Paris Hilton's style gets upstaged

One way to make a statement on the red carpet? Wear an attention-grabbing magenta leopard-print frock! Both celebutante Paris Hilton and "Slumdog Millionaire" actress Freida Pinto donned the same stunning Marchesa dress for different events. Question is ... who wore it better?

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton rocked the Marchesa Resort 2011 dress in February for the launch of her “Passport” fragrance collection in Riverside, California. The starlet, who will soon headline the reality series “The World According to Paris,” accessorized with simple nude pumps and a wavy, side-swept ‘do.
Way back in September 2010, Pinto wore the same gown for a dinner to celebrate the premiere of her film “Miral” at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada. Freida paired her one-shoulder satin organza dress with purple Ferragamo pumps and a black-and-silver studded clutch.
The dress suits both ladies beautifully, but Freida’s dark tresses and gorgeous skin tone really make the dress pop, and her color-coordinated heels are the perfect accessory. For me, Ms. Pinto wins this battle hands down.

pregnant celebrity cover girls

pregnant celebrity cover girls

Mariah Carey is the latest mum-to-be to adopt the pregnancy pose made famous by Demi Moore back in the '90s. Just weeks away from her due date, the pop star, who's pregnant with twins, admitted to feeling "vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now" but "didn't want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience," she told US magazine Life & Style, whose cover she graces this week.

A lot has changed since the advent of the pregnancy pose or 'PP'. The shoots are no longer controversial, and have even been adapted by non-famous future mums hoping to capture their bodies in the uniquely graceful third term state. What hasn't changed much is the pose: one hand cupping breasts, body in profile, head turned toward camera. You know the drill...

 1991: Demi Moore
You always remember your first. When Annie Leibovitz shot Moore for the cover of Vanity Fair's August issue, she created a media uproar. Was this sexual objectification or female empowerment? People debated this issue as long as they possibly could so they could have an excuse to study the glamour shot. These days, the pose is anything but shocking. It's an industry standard.
 1999: Cindy Crawford
Before we launched into a new millennium, the 90s supermodel had one last order of A-list business: get naked pregnant. Seven months into her pregnancy with son Presley, she landed the cover of W standing in classic profile, boob cup pose.
 2006: Britney Spears
Leave it to Britney to up the stakes with a full frontal bump shot on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. At the time she was pregnant with her second child and just months from her very public breakdown.
 2007: Christina Aguilera
When a still married X-tina posed in her third trimester for Marie-Claire, she let a cropped leather jacket solve the perennial problem of covering her boobs and posing like Betty Paige at the same time. "We were planning on starting to try after the tour," Aguilera candidly shared with the magazine. "And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take. You've heard it takes some time - except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here ... I'm like, Oh, my God, can you believe it just happened?"
 2008: Thomas Beatie
The thing about the pregnant pose is that both arms have a purpose: one directs attention to the belly, the other expresses a fraction of modesty. But when the world's first technically pregnant man posed for People, modesty was tossed out like dirty diapers. "The only thing different about me is that I can't breastfeed my baby. But a lot of mothers don't," Beatie told People magazine, then preparing for second child. Beatie neglected to mention the other thing that set him apart: yeah, you know what I'm talking about.
 2010: Claudia Schiffer
German Vogue put the supermodel on their cover in a pose we've see before. Like most celebrity prego models, she was 7 months along (and showing more than Crawford), and more than willing to prove that a baby bump is the height of fashion. The only person who seemed to need that proof was the man who shot it, Karl Lagerfeld. The designer-cum-photographer had famously said that curvy women aren't attractive. But Schiffer didn't see the irony: "It was important to us to show how beautiful it is to be a woman and that you can have a positive attitude towards your body, including when you're expecting," she said in the issue which also featured her dressed as a pregnant nun.

 2011: Mariah Carey
Who needs Annie Leibovitz? A few days before her Life & Style cover, Mariah tweeted this semi-nude photo of her twin-sized belly, painted with a butterfly and the words 'Dem Babies'. In a way, this photo was more exciting than Mariah's magazine cover shoot, which showed more flesh. It's hard to excite a public who's already witnessed two supermodels, three superstars and man nude with child.

The worst celebrity tattoos

The worst celebrity tattoos

Megan Fox is obviously a huge fan of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. She has a portrait of Marilyn tattooed on her inner right forearm. As much as she admires the buxom blonde movie star we think it is a bit weird to have a permanent mark of another person on your arm.

Hayden Panettiere shows off her tattoo on the left side of her back but the Italian words are misspelt. In full her tattoo reads ‘Vivere senza rimipianti’, which is meant to translate as, ‘to live without regrets’. Unfortunately the last word has an extra ‘I’, and should instead be ‘rimpianti’.

Mike Tyson is fierce enough without the facial tattoo so really he didn’t need his tribal ink. His tattoo is Maori-influenced by which is meant to make the wearer look ferocious.

Amy Winehouse was one of the most talked about celebrities of 2009. Her individual style made her stand out and this included her tattoos. She had her ex-husband’s name ‘Blake’ inscribed on her chest in 2005 just one month after they started dating.

Pamela Anderson made the mistake of tattooing barb wire around the top of her arm. In the ‘90s it was cool but as trends changed Pam received a lot of slack for her body art.

Steve-O is one of the daredevil cast members on MTV’s Jackass and Wild Boys. He inked a portrait of himself to cover the whole of his back. Steve-O is known for doing all kinds of crazy stunts so this is nothing out of the ordinary; he accompanied the portrait with the words “Yeah, dude I rock!” and his autograph.

Britney Spears is no stranger to odd tattoos, sporting a fairy on her lower back and a set of pink lips on her wrist. But the offending ink here is the Kabbalah-inspired tattoo that was supposed to read ‘God’ but was misspelt. She has since had it removed.

David Beckham is covered in tats and it must be said he doesn’t look bad at all. One of his sleeves includes Victoria’s name written in Sanskrit, but spelt ‘Vichtoria’. Oops!

Rihanna has made two tattoo blunders. In 2009 she had ‘forgiveness’ in Hindu Sanskrit tattooed on her hip – with the wrong spelling. She also had ‘Rebelle fleur’ inked in French on her neck last year but put the adjective before the noun so it translates as ‘flower rebel’ instead of ‘rebel flower’.

Kelly Osbourne’s tattoo choices were not so well thought out; the anchor and synthesizer body art on her arms are not subtle. She has decided to get a few of her 15 tattoos removed after realising they were a mistake.

Celebrity rehab

Celebrity Rehab
Charlie Sheen and El DeBarge are the latest celebs to make headlines for going to rehab. Read about others who have struggled with addiction in all its forms and see what they said about their struggles. Do you have a loved one struggling with drugs or alcohol? Find a rehabilitation center near you.

Charlie Sheen

"I said stay off the crack, and I still think that's pretty good advice, unless you can manage it socially. If you can manage it socially, then go for it, but not a lot of people can, you know?"

Lindsay Lohan

"I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances. Now I'm in a place where I don't need to use anything and I can feel emotions because I choose to."

El DeBarge

"I hate to disappoint my fans, but it is necessary for me to take the time to work on me so that I may continue to share my music and my story with everyone. I thank everyone in advance for their prayers and well wishes and hope that you will respect my privacy during this time."

Britney Spears

"There's the honeymoon phase at first. Everything is fabulous: 'Look at the wonderful trips she gets to go on; look at the wonderful people she's meeting,' then there's the ugly side of things that turns, and we weren't ready for that, either."

Jonathan Rhys Meyers

"I just don't want to be that f****** a******* sitting in the pub and someone turns around and says, 'See him there at the end of the bar. He could have made a f****** fortune, but he went over to Hollywood and he just f****** p****d it up against the wall."

Robert Downey Jr.

"More than anything I have this sense that I'm a veteran of a war that is difficult to discuss with people who haven't been there."

Amy Winehouse

"I'm either a really good drunk or I'm an out-and-out s**t, horrible, violent, abusive, emotional drunk. I'll beat up Blake when I'm drunk. I don't think I have ever bruised him, but I do have my way."

Kelly Osbourne

"I don't have any shadow of a doubt that addiction is a disease. It's in your genes. The only people in my family who don't have that gene are my mum and my sister Amy."

Miguel Cabrera

"Do you know who I am? You don't know anything about my problems."

Courtney Love

"I would just like to thank the court for allowing me these 90 days. ... [It] helped me deal with a very gnarly drug problem, which is behind me. ... I've just been playing guitar and taking care of my daughter. I want to [take this opportunity] to let the community know I'm doing great. ... I've been really inspired and have remained inspired."

Tiger Woods

"But still, I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you. I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. I am embarrassed that I have put you in this position. For all that I have done, I am so sorry."

Daniel Baldwin

"I'm a straight-up cocaine addict. I don't really drink very much, although I have abused alcohol in the past. And I don't use any other drugs. I don't take pills. I don't do anything. I'm a … diehard coke head."

Whitney Houston

"First of all, let's get one thing straight. Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack. Let's get that straight. OK? We don't do crack. We don't do that. Crack is whack."

Mel Gibson

"After drinking alcohol on Thursday night, I did a number of things that were very wrong and for which I am ashamed. I drove a car when I should not have, and was stopped by the L.A. County sheriffs. The arresting officer was just doing his job, and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person. I acted like a person completely out of control…"

Mackenzie Phillips

"Mackenzie deserves great credit for seizing the opportunity she was given to get clean and prove she was worthy of the dismissal of her case."

Tara Reid

"Tara Reid has checked herself into Promises Treatment Center. We appreciate your respect to her and her family's privacy at this time."

Britney Spears Biography and Picture Gallery 2011

Britney Spears Biography and Picture Gallery 2011

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears began performing as a child, landing acting roles in stage productions and television shows. She signed with Jive Records in 1997 and released her debut album ...Baby One More Time in 1999. During her first decade within the music industry, she became a prominent figure in mainstream popular music and popular culture, followed by a much-publicized personal life. Her first two albums established her as a pop icon and broke sales records, while title tracks "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops!... I Did It Again" became international number-one hits. Spears was credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s.

In 2001, she released her third studio album Britney and expanded her brand, playing the starring role in the film Crossroads. She assumed creative control of her fourth studio album, In the Zone released in 2003, which yielded chart-topping singles "Me Against the Music", "Toxic" and "Everytime". After the release of two compilation albums, Spears experienced personal struggles and her career went under hiatus. Her fifth studio album, Blackout, was released in 2007 and despite receiving little promotion, it spawned hits "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me". In 2008, her erratic behaviour and hospitalizations caused her to be placed in a conservatorship. The same year, her sixth studio album Circus was released, with the global chart-topping lead single "Womanizer". After embarking on The Circus Starring Britney Spears, she released greatest hits The Singles Collection, which featured U.S. and Canadian number-one single "3".
Spears has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists in the history of contemporary music. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she is the eighth top-selling female artist in the United States, with 32 million certified albums. Spears is also recognized as the best-selling female artist of the first decade of the 21st century, as well as the fifth overall. She was ranked the 8th Artist of the 2000–10 decade by Billboard. In June 2010, Spears was ranked sixth on Forbes list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world; she is also the third most mentioned musician in the world.

1981–97: Early life and career beginnings

Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2, 1981, the second child of Lynne Irene (née Bridges) and James Parnell Spears. She is of English heritage through her maternal grandmother, who was born in London, and of distant Maltese descent. Her siblings are Bryan James and Jamie Lynn. At age three, she started to attend dance lessons in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, and was selected to perform a solo at the annual recital. During her childhood, she also attended gymnastics and voice lessons, and won many state-level competitions and children's talent shows. Spears made her local stage debut at age five, singing "What Child Is This?" at her kindergarten graduation. She said about her ambition as a child, "I was in my own world, [...] I found out what I'm supposed to do at an early age". At age eight, Spears and her mother Lynne traveled to Atlanta for an audition in the 1990s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club. Casting director Matt Cassella rejected her for being too young to join the series at the time, but introduced her to Nancy Carson, a New York City talent agent. Carson was impressed with Spears's vocals and suggested enrolling her at the Professional Performing Arts School; shortly after, Lynne and her daughters moved to a sublet apartment in New York. Spears was hired for her first professional role, as the understudy for the lead role of Tina Denmark in the Off-Broadway musical Ruthless!. She also appeared as a contestant on the popular television show Star Search, as well as being cast in a number of commercials. In December 1992, she was finally cast in The Mickey Mouse Club, but returned to Kentwood after the show was cancelled. She enrolled at Parklane Academy in nearby McComb, Mississippi. Although she made friends with most of her classmates, she compared the school to "the opening scene in Clueless with all the cliques. [...] I was so bored. I was the point guard on the basketball team. I had my boyfriend, and I went to homecoming and Christmas formal. But I wanted more."

In June 1997, Spears was in talks with manager Lou Pearlman to join female pop group Innosense. Lynne asked family friend and entertainment lawyer Larry Rudolph for his opinion and submitted a tape of Spears singing over a Whitney Houston karaoke song along with some pictures. Rudolph decided he wanted to pitch her to record labels, therefore she needed a professional demo. He sent Spears an unused song from Toni Braxton; she rehearsed for a week and recorded her vocals in a studio with a sound engineer. Spears travelled to New York with the demo and met with executives from four labels, returning to Kentwood the same day. Three of the labels rejected her, arguing audiences wanted pop bands such as The Backstreet Boys and The Spice Girls, and "there wasn't going to be another Madonna, another Debbie Gibson, or another Tiffany." Two weeks later, executives from Jive Records returned calls to Rudolph.[15] Senior vice president of A&R Jeff Fenster stated about Spears's audition that "It's very rare to hear someone that age who can deliver emotional content and commercial appeal. [...] For any artist, the motivation—the 'eye of the tiger'— is extremely important. And Britney had that."[10] They appointed her to work with producer Eric Foster White for a month, who reportedly shaped her voice from "lower and less poppy" delivery to "distinctively, unmistakably Britney."[16] After hearing the recorded material, president Clive Calder ordered a full album. Spears had originally envisioned "Sheryl Crow music, but younger more adult contemporary" but felt alright with her label's appointment of producers, since "It made more sense to go pop, because I can dance to it—it's more me." She flew to Cheiron Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, where half of the album was recorded from March to April 1998, with producers Max Martin, Denniz PoP and Rami, among others.

998–2000: ...Baby One More Time and Oops!... I Did It Again

After Spears returned to the United States, Spears embarked on a shopping mall promotional tour to promote her forthcoming album. Her show was a four song set and she was accompanied by two back up dancers. Her first concert tour followed, as an opening act for 'N Sync. Her debut album, ...Baby One More Time, was released on January 1999. It debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was certified two-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America after a month. Worldwide, the album topped the charts in fifteen countries and sold over ten million copies in a year. It became the biggest selling album ever by a teenage artist. The title track was released as the lead single from the album. Originally, Jive Records wanted its music video to be animated; however, Spears rejected it, and suggested the final idea of a Catholic schoolgirl. The single sold 500,000 copies on its first day, and peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, topping the chart for two consecutive weeks. "...Baby One More Time" later received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. The title track also topped the singles chart for two weeks in the United Kingdom, and became the fastest-selling single ever by a female artist, shipping over 460,000 copies. It would later become the 25th most successful song of all time in British chart history. Spears is also the youngest female artist to have a million seller in the country. "(You Drive Me) Crazy" was released as the third single from the album. It became a top-ten hit worldwide and propelled ...Baby One More Time to sell 26 million copies.[25] The April 1999 cover of Rolling Stone featured Spears laying on her bed, clad with a bra, shorts and an open top. The American Family Association (AFA) referred to the shoot as "a disturbing mix of childhood innocence and adult sexuality" and called to "God-loving Americans to boycott stores selling Britney's albums." Spears responded to the outcry commenting, "What's the big deal? I have strong morals. [...] I'd do it again. I thought the pictures were fine. And I was tired of being compared to Debbie Gibson and all of this bubblegum pop all the time." Shortly before, Spears had announced publicly she would remain a virgin until marriage.

On June 28, 1999, Spears began her first headlining ...Baby One More Time Tour in North America, which was positively received by critics, but generated some controversy due to her racy outfits. An extension of the tour, titled Crazy 2k, followed in March 2000. Spears premiered songs from her upcoming second album during the show. Oops!... I Did It Again, her second studio album, was released in May 2000. It debuted at number one in the US, selling 1,3 million copies, breaking the SoundScan record for the highest debut sales by any solo artist. The album sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone said that "the great thing about Oops! – under the cheese surface, Britney's demand for satisfaction is complex, fierce and downright scary, making her a true child of rock & roll tradition." The album's lead single, "Oops!... I Did It Again", peaked at the top of the charts in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and many other European nations. The album as well as the title track received Grammy nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, respectively. The same year, Spears embarked on the Oops!... I Did It Again World Tour, which grossed $40.5 million; she also released her first book, Britney Spears' Heart-to-Heart, co-written with her mother. On September 7, 2000, Spears performed at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Halfway through the performance, she ripped of her black suit to reveal a sequined flesh-colored bodysuit, followed by heavy dance routine. It is noted by critics as the moment that Spears showed signs of becoming a more provocative performer. Amidst media speculation, Spears confirmed she was dating 'N Sync member Justin Timberlake.
